City of Victoriaville – 2017-2018
The City of Victoriaville is facing a serious sedimentation problem on the Bulstrode River. An abnormally high quantity of sediment accumulates in the Beaudet reservoir and endangers the water supply of this city of 45,300 inhabitants.
The City has adopted an ecosystemic approach to address the problem. It called on T² Environnement to advise and support it in the implementation of this ambitious project, with an estimated total value of more than $50,000,000.
T² Environnement also supported the City in the consultation process to pool the efforts of the various stakeholders involved in the project. Other municipalities, the watershed organization, agricultural and forestry advisory groups, and agricultural and forestry producers were all involved to ensure the success of the project.
